Project Name Progress Description
Renovation Project for Restrooms in General Building II 1.   The project delay was attributable to reasons caused by the original awarded contractor, resulting in severe lag in contract performance. The University held a contract termination meeting on March 9, 2021, and notified the contractor of the contract termination on March 17, 2021, in accordance with Article 21 of the construction contract. A site inspection and settlement review were conducted on March 22, 2021, and the contractor was requested to submit revised settlement documents by April 7, 2021. Interim settlement acceptance was approved on May 11, 2021, and the air pollution settlement was also completed.
2.   Additionally, the contractor filed a performance dispute mediation case with the Public Construction Commission on September 27, 2021. Mediation meetings were held on November 12 and December 14, 2021. Follow-up payment procedures will continue once the subsequent construction work is completed.
3.   Follow-up construction: The second tender was opened on August 10, 2021. A pre-construction coordination meeting and hazard notification were held on August 26, 2021, and construction began on August 27, 2021. Completion was reported on June 14, 2022, and final inspection confirmation was conducted on June 16, 2022. Once the contractor submits complete as-built documentation, the acceptance procedures will continue.
Labor Services: Contract in progress.
Follow-up Construction: Completion reported on June 14, 2022.
Technical Service Contract for the Landscape Renovation in the Second Teaching Area The tender was opened on April 19, 2022, and a public evaluation was held on April 22, 2022. “Chu Hsiang-Ju Architects” was selected as the top-ranked firm. Price negotiation was conducted on May 2, and the firm agreed to undertake the project based on the base price (with a unified discount rate of 96%). The preliminary planning and basic design report was submitted on May 25 (late submission). A design review meeting was held on May 30, where the design was approved.
Since the construction area overlaps with the “Administrative Building Fountain Walkway Renovation Project and Planning/Design/Supervision Service,” the engineering portion will be tendered jointly to address construction access and management needs. Detailed design is currently in progress.
